Background

Valutech has grown by focussing on a specialised niche in the market and has been working in conjunction with leading accounting houses addressing complex issues associated with the description and valuation of intangible assets.
The company was established in 1992 and since then, more than 1,000 valuations, assessments, reports and reviews have been produced for a range of clients in the financial, technical and government sectors.
The company is based around the experience of its principal, Dr. Maurice Venning, who has been working in the areas of research and development and its application for over thirty years. For the last twenty years, he has been assessing routes for commercialisation of technology and this led to work on the valuation of a range of technologies which has become a full-time occupation. In the last few years, Valutech has increasingly been undertaking the valuation of other intangible assets such as intellectual property, copyright, databases, brand names, trademarks and operational support materials.
Other pages on this web site cover the areas of activity of the company, its clients, approaches to the valuation of intangible assets and activities in specialised areas such as biotechnology.
